Scholarship Recipients Requirements

Scholarship Detail of Students

Prior to travelling to Australia, scholarship recipients must:

  • meet the minimum English language requirement of their chosen Australian university (usually IELTS of 6.5 with no band less than 6.0);
  • receive a letter of acceptance from an Australian university;
  • meet Australian immigration requirements for a student's visa;

In Australia, scholarship recipients must:

  • abide by the conditions of the scholarship and the rules of Australia tertiary institutions;
  • abide the rules and regulations governing a student visa;
  • act in a way that will not bring disrepute to AUSAID, or to any Australian institution;
  • and return home at the end of the award period.

Deakin university Deakin University offer full and partial tuition scholarships for international students. Available for Master of Water Resources Management programme for Semester 1-2009 Scholarships are offered twice annually, in February (Semester 1) and July (Semester 2).

University of Ballarat The University of Ballarat offer International Student Excellence Scholarships for the July 2009 intake with a 50% fee waiver for the normal duration of their course. The scholarships are assessed on academic merit of previous study. Only those students are eligible who have applied or who have received an offer for the July 2009 intake.The last date to submit the application is April 24th for the July 2009 intake. The application open date is Monday 3rd August 2009 & The closing date is Friday 23rd October 2009

SUT-ALA-Australian Leadership Award Scholarships are offered to high achievers from the Asia-pacific region to undertake postgraduate study (Master or Doctorate) at an Australian University. •have been accepted into an Australian higher education institution at the time of application •have high English language proficiency required (minimum of 6.5 IELTS or equivalent) •not be married to/or a defector of, or engaged to, a person who holds or is eligible to hold Australian or New Zealand citizenship or permanent resident status. •Citizen of one of the 33 participating countries. The 2010 ALA Scholarship application period opened on 19 March 2009 and will close on 30 June 2009.

Deakin University The Deakin University offering International Scholarship for February 2010 intake of up to A$8000 through our International Scholarship Program. The scholarship will be given on "First-Come, First-Served" basis. The eligibility criteria are as follows: .According to NOOSR if the University in under section 1 & 2 Student must have min.60% and above. •According to NOOSR if the University in under section 3 Student must have min.65% and above. Deakin University Deakin University is offering a range of scholarships for higher degrees by research.There are 70 scholarships for 2010 for Indian students worth Rs 60 lacs. 1. Hold a Bachelors degree with first class honours or an equivalent qualification. 2. Be citizens of a country other than Australia and New Zealand 3.Study full – time on campus at Deakin University 4. Satisfy all academic requirements for entry into masters or doctoral program including English language proficiency levels. Last date for the scholarship application is 30th September 2010 and the results of the scholarships are announced in December 2010.

University of Adelaide Offering bursaries scholarships of A$ 3,000. Student must have done graduation and has an offer for master’s degree It is available for semester 2 and based on first come first serve. There is no deadline to apply for scholarship.

Swinburne University Scholarship is available to undergraduate courses (Double degree courses are excluded) in Bachelor of Business, Business (Accounting), Business (Tourism and Management), Social Science, Social Science (Psychology), Communication, Communication (Public Relations), Communications (Media Studies). There is no separate application required, as eligible recipients will automatically receive the scholarship at the time of enrolment. The scholarship reduces the published course fee by 10% for each year for the duration of the degree. The scholarship will apply to new commencing international students enrolling at The Faculty of Higher Education, Lilydale from 2009.
