Can I work while on Student visa?

Yes, student can work par time i.e. 20 hrs. Per week during the course and can work full time during vacation.

Can my family accompany with me? If yes, on which Visa?

Partner of student studying in areas of absolute skill Shortage list or studying postgraduate course is eligible to apply for Work Visa. For all other student’s partner, they can apply for Visitor Visa.

Can we get visa for all the courses?

Visa would be granted for all the courses that are level-5 and above or else has been listed in the Long Term Skill shortage List.

Does Kangaroo Studies guarantee the visa?

“Outcome of all visa applications is decided by the respective visa offices and Kangaroo Studies Pvt. Ltd. does not have any influence on the processing and the outcome of visa applications”.

From where can we get the Police clearance certificate?

Student needs to provide a Life Time PCC from either from the office of Senior Superintend of Police or from Regional passport Office.

How do I apply for a permit to study in New Zealand?

Everyone who comes to study in New Zealand from overseas must meet certain rules and requirements. If you are coming to New Zealand to study for more than three months, you will need a student visa or permit. To find out whether you need a visa or permit, whether you’ll qualify, and what a student visa or permit will allow you to do.

How do I apply for a permit to work in New Zealand?

Which type of visa and/or permit you apply for depends on why you want to come here, the skills you have to offer, and how long you want to stay.

How do I apply to come to New Zealand as a skilled migrant?

If you’ve got the skills we need and want to make New Zealand your long-term destination, our Skilled Migrant Category (SMC) offers you the opportunity to move to New Zealand to work and live permanently.

How do I apply to extend my temporary permit to remain in New Zealand longer?

As you must be on a valid permit at all times while in New Zealand, you must either obtain a further temporary entry permit to remain in New Zealand, or you may depart New Zealand and wait for your residency decision offshore (please advise your immigration officer of your contact details in this case). To obtain a further permit, you must meet the current policy requirements of the permit type you wish to apply for. Please refer to visit, study, and work, for further information and application forms.

How do I check the progress of my visa or permit application?

Once we have accepted your application, you will be given the contact details of the person processing it. If you applied online, you can check the status of your application by logging into your Online Services account and visiting ‘What’s Happening?’ If you applied using a paper form, but want to be able to check your status online, you can provide details on your form that will give you an online enquiry option. This will allow you to set up an account on the site and receive updates. If you contact us through our Online Help system, we will be able to tell you the status of your application. We are unable to provide information about decisions through email. You may be able to get more detailed information by phone, but decisions will not be discussed until you have been notified in writing. If you are using an agent or consultant, you should also get in touch with them to find out whether they are aware of any problems or delays. Agents are now able to set their own unique identification codes for their clients. The person filling out an application form needs to write in a code that can be used by the agent to check the application status using our Online Enquiry service.

How long will it take Immigration New Zealand to process my visa or permit application?

The time it will take for us to process your application can vary depending on:

  • the requirements of the immigration policy you are applying under
  • the completeness of your application
  • how easily we can check the information you provide
  • how well and how quickly you respond to any concerns we raise with you.

  
Processing times can also vary between offices. When we accept your application, we will either give you a decision, or tell you within 14 days, how long the processing time is predicted to be. The amount of verification your application requires can affect the amount of time it takes to process your application. Applications that require the most verification; for example work permit or residence applications, typically take the longest to process. We may find that you need to provide us with further information before we can make a decision on your application, which will also add to the processing time.

Is English Proficiency required for NZ?

Yes, the student must have 5.5 Bands or above in IELTS or 65% or above in ENGLISH in Year 12 from Maharashtra, West Bengal, Chennai, CBSE and ICSE Boards.

Mandatory requirements for lodgement of student visa application?

The following are required for lodging a student visa application:

  • Original Passport
  • Life Time Police clearance certificate from SSP office or Regional Passport office.
  • Medical reports
What are the climatic conditions?

Winter is June through August and our summer is between December and March. Temperature varies from 20–30°C during summers and 5–15°C during winters.

What is Managed queue?

The application which requires more of verifications is placed in the managed queue. The processing time of these applications are more than the normal processing time.

What is Positive Profile?

Positive profile means student having:

  • Good Academic
  • Proven ability of English(IELTS)
  • Verifiable funds
  • Regular source and sufficient income of financial guarantors.
  • Intended course is relevant to the educational Background or work Experience.
  • Clear health requirements and character
What is the official language of NZ?

English is the mainly used written and spoken language. The other official language used is Maori.

What is the processing time for student visa?

The Normal processing time is 12-15 weeks and 15 days for positive profile applications.

What would be cost of living?

The Living cost is approx. NZ$ 10,000 per annum.

Where do I access immigration application forms?

All immigration forms and guides can be accessed (in PDF format) by visiting forms and guides. Filling in the application forms as requested, and ensuring all relevant information required is included, will help to speed up the processing of your application. Incomplete applications will be returned to the applicant unprocessed.
